Alan was involved in technical sales from 1978 joining first Westinghouse and then GE in 1989, initially responsible for supporting heavy industry, container ports and shipbuilding in Virginia, USA. Alan transitioned to TMEIC in 2006 finishing his last 16 years in the marine terminal marketplace before retiring as Business Segment Leader/ Crane Systems in 2022. Container Terminal automation and advanced lifting equipment technologies are his specialty. Since retiring, Alan has enjoyed life at his own pace doing many things, but has kept a hand in the working world consulting on Marine Container Terminal Automation and Efficiency. Alan resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia and is very active in his community.
